Samsung Galaxy S11 Camera Testing Will Begin Soon – So the Galaxy S11 is going to be the next best offering from Samsung, and we’ve already heard a lot about the device. In particular, the 5x optical zoom capability that Samsung is gonna provide with the S11. Today we have more information about that periscope zoom camera module. South Korean media is reporting that Samsung is receiving the test sockets for the Galaxy S11’s periscope zoom camera.
You see, a company named MecaTech Systems is gonna manufacture these modules for Samsung. Mecatech is also a South Korean company. If you don’t know what test socket is?. It’s basically used to do a final check of the hardware before the manufacturer starts shipping components. If Samsung is receiving test sockets, then it’s reasonable to infer that Samsung has at least settled down on final prototypes. Which means we’re gonna get some concrete new details about the S11 in the days to come.
Ice Universe, as you already know, loves to tease the new upcoming features of the upcoming Samsung smartphones. And today he’s doing precisely that. He tweeted out this, which reads The S11 doesn’t just have a standard 5x optical zoom. What does this mean? I don’t know.
But he’s clearly implying that the 5x optical zoom camera on the S11 will be better than the one we saw on the Huawei P30 Pro. I have no clue, but if you do, please let me know in the comments. Also, someone asked Ice Universe this question in the replies of that tweet.
He basically asked, whether or not the thickness of the Galaxy S11 will be the same as the Galaxy S10. To which Ice said, it’s gonna be a little thicker. So if Samsung is deciding to increase the thickness of the S11, that could only mean one thing “A bigger battery”.
The Galaxy S10+ has a 4100mAh battery, so it’s reasonable to expect at least 4300mAh on the S11+. And if we’re lucky, we could end up getting a 4500mAh cell on the S11+, which is in the realm of possibility. So we already have information about the launch date of the Galaxy S11 courtesy of Sammobile. Samsung usually launches its Galaxy S range of devices in February, and that’s going to be the case for the Galaxy S11 as well.
Sammobile is saying that Samsung could launch the S11 on February the 18th. Look, it’s too early, in my opinion, for a precise launch date 4 months before the launch, but it makes sense. The February 18th falls a few days ahead of the mobile world congress, so it’s reasonable to expect that Samsung would keep an event earlier and get as much coverage from the media as possible of their new flagship phones.
I’ll make sure to keep you updated with all the Galaxy S11 information. So please consider subscribing to that, and I’ll see you tomorrow…Peace out!
